TLC’s Chilli (Rozonda Thomas) joins a growing list of celebrities who have teamed up with PETA to speak out against circuses that use and abuse animals. Striped down to nothing but painted tiger stripes, Chilli poses for PETA’s new “Boycott the Circus” campaign crouched inside of a small animal cage.

According to the advertisement Circus Tigers are “viciously struck with sticks to make them perform difficult and confusing tricks, and they’re confined to cages barely larger than their own bodies.” A press release also noted that Tigers along with other animals are ‘warehoused in traveling boxcars, where they are exposed to extreme heat and freezing-cold weather. These unnatural and stressful conditions lead tigers and other big cats to become ill, despondent, and increasingly agitated, endangering other animals, circus workers, and attendees.’

In a video on PETA’s website, Chilli explained her motivation for getting involved with the cause:
