One thing the city of Atlanta has always been known for is it’s Music Talent, so what better place for the Annual One Music Fest. This year Atlanta’s Mayor Kasim Reed‘s “Welcome Letter” was presented at the press conference, along with the other sponsors, Mountain Dew, Ford, Miller Lite and Sol Fusion, all showing their support towards the Atlanta Music Scene.

The One Music Fest announced that it will be held on August 27th 2011, at the Park Tavern at Piedmont Park.  It was announced that Phife Dawg of a Tribe Called Quest will host the event and a  roundtable discussion was held at the press conference which included the Fest’s featured artist Anthony David, which performed LIVE (Video).

There is a lack of representation for soul, progressive hip-hop, alternative and rock, represented under one roof, in the format of music festivals in Atlanta. We have noticed that while there are many pockets of individuals that share taste in the same music, rarely do you see them share in this together. ONE MusicFest was created with the idea of music as the universal language. Over time we aim to grow this fest into a phenomenon and bring together different sectors of individuals through a unique music platform,” stated J Carter, SolFusion Founder and ONE MusicFest Producer.
